피겨는 언어다

프랑스 니스에서 펼쳐지고 있는 피겨 세계선수권 대회 쇼트 프로그램에 참가한

곽민정 선수가 36.91로 전체 30명 선수중 28위를 기록 결선 프리 컷 통과에 실패했습니다.

곽민정 선수는 에덴의 동쪽 OST에 맞추어 유려한 연기를 보였습니다.

본인도 연기 후 만족하며 키스앤 크라이존으로 향했는데요.

하지만 채점결과

트리플 럿츠와 트리플 살코 그리고 더블악셀에서 모두 언더 로테이션을 당하고,

프라잉 싯스핀에서 레벨 1을 받으며 기술점수에서 감점을 당하며,

예상보다 낮은 점수를 받았습니다.

본선 프리에는 쇼트경기에 참가한 30명의 선수 중 상위 24명이 진출했고, 24위의 점수는  44.02입니다.

(참고로 곽민정 선수는 지난 4대륙 대회에서 쇼트에서 48.72를 받은 바 있습니다.)

프로그램 수행에 비해 전체적으로 과하게 감점이 된 아쉬운 결과이지만,

최선을 다한 곽민정 선수에게 박수를 보냅니다.

한편, 여자싱글 쇼트 경기는 이변이 속출했는데요.

1위 알레아 레오노바 (64.61)

2위 무라까미 카나코 (62.67)

3위 캐롤리나 코스트너 (61.00)

4위 아사다 마오 (59.49)

5위 스즈키 아키코 (59.38)

의 순입니다.

쇼트 경기에서는 1위에서 5위 선수들중

아사다를 제외한 선수들이 트리플-트리플 점프를 시도 모두 성공하였으나,

크린 경기를 보여준 레오노바와 무라까미를 제외하고는,

코스트너는 트리플 루프를 팝, 스즈키는 트리플 럿츠를 팝,

아사다는 트리플 악셀에서 다운그레이드와 함께 넘어지는 등 부진한 경기를 보여줬습니다.

1위에서 5위까지의 점수차이가 5점도 되지않아,

포디움은 현지시각 3월 31일(한국시각 4월 1일 새벽)에 열리는 프리경기에 의해 좌우될 것으로 보입니다.

At 2011 Worlds, PECHALAT / BOURZAT placed 4th behind Shibutanis by 0.25 scores and
Weaver/Poje placed 5th behind Shibutani by 3.47

It was not upset, because Pechalat/Bourza throws away their bronze medal at last Worlds and gave it to Shibutanis just before ending of the free program due to fall.

Virtue/Moir won and Davis/White failed to continue consecutive wins.
