Even though at JGPF, he won the silver due to bad condition,
He won the silver behind Nan Song at Chinese National WInter Games in January,
and won Youth Olympic Games in late January with 192.45 scores.

Dennis Ten competes at junior competition again.
With his expereince at senior grand prix and his 3A and 4T, he can not be overlooked among podium contenders.

However, this will be his last U-Turn appearance at junior competition.
I was told that ISU will pass the policy that those who attend international senior level events more than twice can not attend junior level again.

Winner at JGP Final at Quebec city.
Without 3A, but stable triples, delicate footwork and musicality have made him stay among top ranker junior skaters.
At the interview with Ice network after JGP Final, he told that he had prepared 3A in his program at JGP Final,
but changed his mind after his practice at the rink.

With 3A,  stable triple, spins and musicality, Joshua had seemed to be a credible competitor during this season just before 2012 US Nationals.
In Colorado Springs where his training camp is located at, he ruined most jumps confined within 30 second lo~~nger program.
But, Minsk will be OK, 
He will come back with his junior program which he had been familar with.

Julia LIPNITSKAIA  (RUS) 183.05

   172 is her lowest scores in this season.
    Later part in the season, she scored from late 170  to early 180.
    Also she placed 2nd at Russain Senior Nationals in last December and won the Russian Junior Nationals in February. 
    Her scores in both junior nationals and seneior ones were over 190, even though it were not international competitions.
    Jump consistency through this season and acrobatic signature "i" spin are her strong points.

  Defending Junior World champion.
  Her score oscilitated from 159 to late 160 through the season.
   In last Decmber, she won the Russian Nationals senior but she was defeated by Tuktamisheva in Youth Olympic Games in January, losing jump consistency again.
   Her second medal at Junior World Championship will depend on her jump consistency which came back and went away repeatedly.

This is her first international competition appearance in this season.
She was not so successful at 2010-2011 ISU jgp,
but got a spotlight at Canadian Senior Nationals in January, winning bronze medal with overall score 155.47.

   JGP에서 172.69를 기록, 지난 1월의 미국 내셔널 주니어에서 안정된 점프 컨시를 보여주며 178.92를 기록
    미국 피겨팬들의 기대를 한몸에 받고 있습니다.
   지난 시즌 내셔널 주니어에서 탈락한 후, 이번 시즌  내셔널 주니어 챔피언이 되면서 한층 멘탈면에서 강해진 듯 합니다.
   스포츠 심리학자의 도움을 받아, 큰 대회에 나와도 전처럼 불안하지 않다고 인터뷰에서 밝힌 바 있습니다.
   약점으로 지적된 서두르는 안무와 어색한 Transition을 1달 동안 어떻게 강화해 왔을지가 관건입니다.

한편 위의 예상 선수에는 없지만
주목할 만한 선수로는
캐나다의 95년생 Kaetlyn Osmond가 있습니다.
Osmond 선수는 2010년 ISU JGP에서는 부진했지만
이번 캐나다 시니어 내셔널에서 155.47을 기록하며 3위를 차지합니다.

남싱,아이스댄싱, 페어와 달리
이상하게도 여싱에서만 탑랭커가 없는 캐나다는
조애니 로셋의 복귀를 바라면서도
한편으로는 오스몬드 선수에게 많은 기대를 걸고 있습니다.

여기서 최근의 주니어 월드 포디움 점수를 알아보자면

2010 주니어 월드
        165.47 무라카미, 156.79 자와즈키, 154.27 폴리나 아가포노바
2011 주니어 월드
        174.96 소트니코바,   169.11 툭타미셰바,  161.37 자와즈키 

하지만, 이번 대회의 경우 전체적인 점수 상승
그리고 그레이시 골드, 립니츠카야 등의 뉴페이스 가세로
포디움 하한선은
165~170 정도가 되지 않을까 합니다.

김해진 선수 이야기를 해볼게요.
김해진 선수는 ISU 대회 퍼스널 베스트로는 11위를 기록하고 있습니다.

하지만, 김해진 선수의 이번 시즌 점수 추이를 보시죠.

ISU Brisbane에서 바뀐 부츠로 고생하며
131.02의 성적을 거두었지만,

그 이후 2011년 9월말부터 참가한
모든 대회에서 140점 이상을 기록하고 있습니다.
최근 2012년에 참가한 대회에서는 비록 국내 대회였지만,
160점대, 150점 대를 기록하고 있습니다.

특히 지난주에 참가한 전국체전에서는
부츠를 바꾼지 얼마되지 않았고,
프리 경기 도중 음악이 두번이나 끊겼음에도 좋은 경기를 펼치며,
결국 150점대를 넘는 총점을 기록했습니다.

물론, 주니어 세계선수권이 주는 부담감은
아무리 멘탈면에서 강한 모습을 보여주는
해진 선수라 해도 다소 영향을 받을 것 입니다.

하지만, 최근 내셔널 등을 통해 상승세를 보여주고 있는 만큼,
좋은 컨디션으로 160점 중반을 넘는 점수를 거둔다면
5위 안의 성적을 거둘 수 있을 것 같습니다.

정말 쉽지는 않겠지만,
러시아 3인방과 그레이시 골드의 컨디션에 따라
동메달을 기다려 볼 수도 있겠죠.
